The Legacy Strengthens
Harley was a fairly happy child. She was content to play by herself most times.
Unfortunately, whenever Yuki was having an angry spell, she would attack the dollhouse.
With the dollhouse often broken, Connor took to reading his own stories to Harley so he could get feedback on his stories.
Family time was few and far between with everyone trying to skill for work or school. When it did happen, it was adorable though.
‘Father, please, put some clothes on,’ Harley would beg every time.
Connor had picked up a very embarrassing habit of wandering around in his underwear.
After many more promotions, the house was finally finished! On the outside, anyway.
They even managed to enclose the entire back of the house. It was just a shame that the inside was still bare and undecorated.
‘Uh oh, I recognise this feeling…’ Yuki said one afternoon when a familiar feeling rose up inside her.
This time around, Yuki had a little boy. This narrator’s boyfriend named him Tywin after Tywin Lannister from Game of Thrones.
When Harley brought a friend home from school, this narrator found it incredibly cute that they were wearing matching outfits.
Harley did not find him to be nearly as adorable as he at first seemed.
‘I’m afraid you’re out,’ Harley said, taunting the boy. ‘Get off our lot.’
The curse of outsiders was still going strong. Not long after getting rid of the boy, Harley was sick. This narrator was very close to just keeping them all indoors for the rest of their lives.
Even Yuki got sick again.
‘Mum? Dad? There’s something wrong with the baby!’ Yuki cried out.
Before we knew it, little Tywin was older. He was very much like his sister in appearance.
‘You’ve had your time, it’s my turn,’ Tywin shouted, poking Harley.
‘Excuse me!’ Harley retorted.
Tywin was so far living up to his namesake.
I think everyone knows what this face means…
Yuki was pregnant with baby number three!
The latest pregnancy was harder on Yuki than her previous ones.
‘Having one sibling is bad enough, I can’t believe mum is pregnant again!’ Harley cried in frustration.
‘What? Another child! But why would they need another one after me? I’m perfect!’ Tywin said in indignation.
